Michael Smith has spent many years both as a naturalist and as a licensed Psychological Associate. He has volunteered time in museums and nature preserves and worked in a variety of clinical settings. His earlier books are Herping Texas and The Wild Lives of Reptiles & Amphibians, also from Texas A&M University Press. Meghan Cassidy is a photographer and naturalist with a particular interest in spiders and other invertebrates.
